Could you confirm several things:
- does 58 AF-1 and 48 AF-1 fully supports nikon CLS?
- does 58 AF-1 have a slave photocell? (triggered by another flash in M mode)
- does 58 AF-1 fully supports SU-4 mode (like in SB-900) and can control nikon SB-xxx flashes

na co pan Metz odpowiedzial tak:
Dear Mr. Mickiewicz,
Many thanks for your e-mail enquiry of 30. March 2009.
The mentioned flash units mecablitz 48 AF-1 digital and 58 AF-1 digital for Nikon are also equipped with the Nikon CLS. Therefore these flash units can be used for example at i-TTL- resp. i-TTL-BL-flash mode.
The afore-mentioned flash units also are equipped with a slave sensor. With it these flash units can be used as slaves at the wireless mode. But for this the built-in flash unit at the camera has to be equipped with this wireless mode.
The mecablitz 58 AF-1 digital for Nikon isn't equipped with the SU-4 mode. Therefore the mecablitz can't be triggered only by a flash unit without the Nikon wireless mode. But the mecablitz 58 AF-1 digital for Nikon can be used as a controller or master. With it the corresponding Nikon SB flash units can be controlled.
We hope we could be in assistance to you and remain
with best regards
