Takie czasy.
D500: "carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic is a special material formed from carbon fibers." http://www.nikon-asia.com/d500/en/sh...features3.html
D3400: "Monocoque body with high-stiffness carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic
The advanced high-stiffness carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic, employed for the camera body, offers strength and durability equivalent to those of aluminum and magnesium. Furthermore, Nikonâs original technology has made it possible to produce a monocoque structure utilizing the material. The monocoque is an integrated structure that is also used for some cars and aircraft. It enhances robustness and durability, as well as achieving a lightweight body, while enabling reassessment of the internal design of a camera.
Since the first adoption of this high-stiffness carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic for the D5300 in 2013, it has also been employed on the D750, D5600, D5500 and D3400". http://www.nikon.com/about/technolog...dslr/index.htm

Lighter and stronger body: Monocoque structure using a new, advanced material
The D3300 body employs a cutting-edge carbon fiber material that offers robustness comparable to aluminum and magnesium. It also adopts an integrated monocoque structure similar to that utilized for aircraft and automobiles. With this design, that takes advantage of Nikon's unique technologies and the advanced material, the D3300 achieves a lighter body while enhancing overall strength and durability. http://www.nikon-asia.com/en_Asia/pr...es_explained/3
